Detailed product overview
This page provides a detailed overview of the data products (the type, the
storage and the access) of SACS and who is responsible for what.
Acronyms are explained on this page.
The main subjects are:
General notes:
- Maps are made for a set of pre-defined regions and for the whole
world; in case of an alert dedicated maps are made.
Most maps are images in GIF format (some maps are in PNG format).
- For the alerts, anyone can subscribe
and choose one or more of four regions of interest: Europe & Africa, Asia & Australia,
North & South America, North & South Pacific.
- The overview below gives for each data set the point of access of the
maps and of the data files in two ways:
- 'web' -- a clickable URL of the main web page with maps;
from there one has to use the menus to find the map and/or data
file.
- 'direct' -- a direct URL to a data file or map image.
